DataGuard joins forces with Germany’s former state data protection commissioner, and foremost privacy expert, Dr. Stefan Brink

Europe's leading Data Protection, Information Security and Compliance (PIC) platform DataGuard and Dr Stefan Brink’s scientific institute wida are proud to announce their strategic collaboration. Their collaboration aims to develop Thought Leadership pieces in the PIC space, developing customized solutions for a high level of data protection as well as opening up new target groups for practicable data protection.

DataGuard, the leading European platform for data protection, information security, and compliance (PIC) with over 3,000 customers, is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with the renowned Scientific Institute for Workplace Digitalization, wida, led by Dr Stefan Brink. Dr Brink, the former head of the Data Protection Authority of Baden-Wuerttemberg and one of Germany's most distinguished data protection experts, will be working closely with DataGuard to explore new and innovative approaches to data protection.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to develop smarter consulting concepts and provide Masterclass courses for small and medium-sized companies, as well as larger corporations, and public authorities who are struggling to keep up with the digital challenges of modern-day data protection. This joint venture will also focus on a new contemporary understanding of the role of the data protection officer and address other crucial topics in data protection.

Dr Stefan Brink, the executive director of wida, expressed his excitement about this collaboration:
“Data protection should not be a bureaucratic burden, but a task that those responsible can tackle with efficiency and pragmatism. We need to bring greater substance to data protection and make the most of the new opportunities offered by digitization. To me, it's a democratic imperative to open up access to data protection to serve the citizen's right to freedom. DataGuard's innovative approach to offering data protection expertise as Software-as-a-Service has been refreshing and positive. I am pleased to be able to further explore, accompany and support precisely this development, and benefit from DataGuard's experience, insight, and momentum.”
